YooRecipe End Of Life

Hi,

YooRecipe comes to an end as I do not have time to maintain it anymore. Subscriptions are now closed starting from Sep 27. SUPPORT REMAINS ACTIVE FOR ACTIVE SUBSCRIBERS.

All the best!

Sylvain.

Add your own cuisine type

Learn how to manage Cuisine Types in YooRecipe.

In this section, you are going to learn how to manage Cuisine Types in YooRecipe. Process is pretty straightforward and consists in two steps.

Step 1: Create your cuisine type

Go to Components > YooRecipe > Cuisine Types and click New

Fill in form and save. Note: Cuisine type code must be made of one word (no space)

Create cuisine type in YooRecipe

Step 2: Add the corresponding label

Once your cuisine type has been created, YooRecipe needs a label to correctly translate your new Cuisine Type. This process is required to make it work on all sites, multilang or not.

Go to Extensions > Language Manager > Overrides

Set filter to backend (YooRecipe uses backend labels in frontend) and click New

Create a new label (here COM_YOORECIPE_CUISINE_WEST_AFRICAN) and give it a translation. Check the "for both location" checkbox so that label is defined for frontend and backend.

Click save and repeat this steps for all your active languages.

This tutorial is missing important info for it to work:

If your type of cuisine is of more than one word, make sure to add an underscore between the words.

Choose the administrator override and not the site override and make sure to check "For both location".
