In this section, you are going to learn how recipes can be displayed on a field basis
YooRecipe fields
Basically, a yoorecipe item is made of a title, one or more categories, a description, ingredients and directions.
The recipe data model has constantly been enriched to match the maximum number of usages.
Available fields are:
Creation date, author, number of views, difficulty, cost, rating, preparation time, cooking time, waiting time, seasons, nutrition facts, price, video, meta keywords
Display/hide recipe fields in Recipe view
You can display/hide recipe fields in Component Options
Components > YooRecipe > Options > Recipe tab
Display/hide recipe fields in Menu items views
Many YooRecipe Menu items display recipes as blog.
Menu items that fall into this category: View by Categories, Most read recipes, Favourites recipes, Archive view, Most popular (best rated) recipes, View by tags, Featured recipes, My Cookbook, Search results, View by Season, View by Chef, View all Recipes.
All above views use settings defined in Component Options

Display/hide recipe fields in Recipe edit page
You can display/hide recipe fields in Component Options
Components > YooRecipe > Options > Recipe edition tab
One of the most important settings of this options tab is Use recipe settings
- value = yes
- Then fields displayed in recipe submission form are those defined in Recipe tabs.
- value = no
- Then fields displayed in recipe submission form are those defined in Recipe Edition tabs.
Editing recipes from frontend as superadmin
Noteworthy When editing recipes from frontend as a superadmin, additional fields are automatically displayed: recipe views counter, published & validated status, featured and language.
